🌟 Parents & Grandparents Program 2025 – July Intake
🗓 What’s Happening
IRCC will launch the 2025 Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) intake on July 28, 2025, issuing enough invitations to apply (ITAs) to lead to 10,000 completed applications. Invitations will be sent to those who submitted Interest to Sponsor forms in 2020.
🧩 How It Works
• Invitations are drawn randomly from the 2020 pool.
• Invited sponsors must use the Permanent Residence Portal (or representative portal) to submit complete applications.
• Processing times may range from 12–24 months.
✅ Who Can Sponsor
Sponsors must:
– Be age 18+, a Canadian citizen or PR, residing in Canada
– Meet income requirements from the last 3 tax years
– Sign a 20-year sponsorship undertaking (10 years in Quebec).
📌 If You Don’t Receive an ITA
Consider the Parents and Grandparents Super Visa as an alternative. The overview and FAQs are available on the original page.
