🇨🇦 Canada Removes Job Offer Points From Express Entry

🚫 No More Extra CRS Points for Job Offers
As of March 25, 2025, Canada no longer gives Express Entry points for job offers supported by an LMIA. This includes the 50 or 200 points some candidates relied on to boost their CRS scores.
🎯 Focus on Skills and Fairness
The change aims to reduce fraud and make the system fairer. Now, applicants must rely on their education, language skills, and work experience.
📉 What This Means for Candidates
If your CRS score included job offer points, it will now drop. You should focus on other ways to increase your score, like improving your language test results or applying through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), which still gives 600 points.
🏢 Employers Take Note
Employers may need to look into other ways to support workers, such as PNPs or the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
