🇨🇦 Canada Adds 120 New Study Fields To PGWP List 📚

New Rules for International Students in 2025 🎓
Canada has added nearly 120 new college programs to the list of those eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). The June 2025 update brings the total to 920 programs and removes 178 that no longer align with Express Entry priorities.

Which Fields Gained – And Which Lost 📈📉
The new list favours diplomas in health care, early education, and skilled trades – echoing Express Entry’s focus for 2025. Programs in general business, basic IT and transport were dropped.

What It Means for Your Future in Canada 🧭
PGWP eligibility now depends on your field of study. Pick the right program, apply after June 25, and match your training to in-demand jobs like nursing, carpentry or early childhood education.

Still Protected If You Already Applied 🛡️
Students who applied for their study permit before June 25, 2025 can still qualify under the old list.
